Our Story

It all began when I moved to Berwick during COVID.  I was here on my own, didn’t know a soul and I was looking for something creative to do. I was going through my things, and wondering how I could get creative (being a bit of an obsessional collector there was plenty of material for me to work with).

The first piece I made was a necklace from an old belt and a jadeite disk with Chinese symbols

Making, and wearing, this piece made me very happy at the time. It still does.  It showed me what I needed to do.

It feels really good to re-use things that would otherwise be thrown away.  By changing pre-loved to well-loved, I’m transforming the past into wearable art jewellery.

My jewellery is upcycled fashion in the sense that all the centrepieces and many of my beads have lived other lives, had other purposes, and are now being used again rather than being thrown away.  I also re-use packaging wherever possible.
